Be Brave

Hi my friend! It’s been a few weeks since I posted, I’ve been busy with my friends getting the Junkin’ Sisters Tribe going and it’s been a wild ride so far. We’d hoped for maybe a few thousand vintage-loving, supportive ladies in the Facebook group to share and have fun with, and we’re currently getting five hundred to a thousand requests per day, so yeah, it’s going well and we’ve been busy over there.
My question to the tribe, and to you, is this: what one thing can you do to step out of your comfort zone today, and “Be Brave” that will help you or your business to move forward towards your dream? Is there a phone call or email you need to make? Maybe a baby-step you can take towards a goal, like taking a class, or maybe you need to find a mentor to help push you forward from feeling stuck?
My latest “brave” act was starting the tribe, I’m not really keen on putting myself out there and that was a stretch. Another thing I’ve done since my last post was to start an Etsy shop for social media graphics and printablesΒ (to start the ball rolling.) It’s one of those small steps to take towards being brave, and I have so many more to take, can you relate?
To remind you & I to keep moving forward, one small step at a time, I designed this simple 8×10 print, “Be Brave.” The night owls of the tribe helped me to choose this print from two I’d made in a late night post (yes, we have shenanigans going on over there!) I printed & hung mine on the fridge to be a reminder to keep taking those baby steps in life, but it also looks cute framed, or would be great to hang on your vision board.
This print is free for personal use only. My printer’s settings used were landscape orientation and shrink to fit, your settings may vary, or you could have this printed for yourself professionally.
Enjoy and let me know what one “brave” choice you’ll make to move forward on a dream or goal.

  1. Great post! The biggest bravery often happens in the smallest steps we take!! They used to say “nothing ventured, nothing gained!” Still true! Have fun on your adventure, tribal sister!!

    1. Thank you, Betsy, and that is so true! I appreciate you popping over from the tribe! xo

  2. so happy you are taking those baby steps! you have a talent my friend like no other and you were put here to shine. It is your time and I feel blessed to watch you bloom, xo

as for me and bravery….believing in myself

    1. I hope you do believe in yourself because I think you’re pretty amazing! And thank you so much, Jane, you’ve made my day, and I’m blessed to call you my friend! xo

  3. We’ve never met in real life, but from just knowing you in the tribe and on Charity Sparrow, you seem like a world changer. In this time of uncertainty and doubt in a world full of people who have lost faith in one another, your kindnesses have sort of made people believe again. The evidence of that is in the tribe. I think people are seeking a place to feel welcome, a place to go to where people are nice.

That happens in the tribe. I have never seen a group so large that has genuinely kind people in it. It is an amazing thing to see and be apart of. What a gift that you chose brave. Brave brought many new friendships and smiles to a lot of faces.

Thank you for the free printable. In a world of “everything costs something”, you give something away. That is soooooo nice. I wish you the very best with your Etsy shop. I’d venture to say it will be an amazing shop! Hope you have a wonderful night.

    1. Jessica,
I feel like we’ve already met as well and I’m so glad we found each other! Your kind words mean so much, and I thank you for being part of the tribe. I hope we can remain a friendly place as it continues to grow, I’ll do my best to foster that attitude in there.
I’m glad you’re brave and put yourself out there through the blog, I’m sure you’ve touched a lot of people with your genuine warmth and kindness. Thank you so much my new friend! xo

  4. Courtney, you are one of the bravest people I know, and because of that it shines through in everything you do.
The bravest thing I have done lately, as you know is reconnect with my sister after not seeing her in 11 years. That brings my heart so much peace and joy, that I am sure it will translate into the rest of my life, including my face book business.
Thank you for inspiring so many, especially me. xo

    1. Kim, thank you, you’re such a wonderful soul and I’m so proud to call you my sister. And I’m so happy for you that you were able to reconnect with your real sister after so long, you are very brave yourself indeed!
I’m excited we’re on this journey of bravery & growth together and can’t wait to see where it leads us! xo
