I’m Dreaming Of A Vintage Christmas..

Dreaming Of A Vintage Christmas

Happy Holidays!
It can be a bit hard to feel the holiday vibe being here in Texas sometimes..no changing leaves, autumn sights and smells, heck, I’m still running my a.c.! But while it may be a challenge, I’m never hard-pressed to feel a vintage-y (is that a word? I guess it is now) a vintage-y Christmas feeling. All I have to do is take myself back to my Grandma’s kitchen in my head, no matter what time of year,  and there I am.
Grandma McCarthy was an antiques dealer, a wonderful woman, and hostess who really knew how to make everyone feel special. Christmas-time was no exception, she made simple extravagant , and small details huge just by virtue of her having touched them. I’m sure that being surrounded by her love, laughter, and antiques played a huge role in my love for vintage..and love of love and laughter! If I make the people around me feel loved and special like she did, and yes, that sure does include you, then I will feel that my job here has been well done.
OK, so back to dreaming of a vintage-y Christmas, shall we?

  1. I’ll take one of everything, please! I almost ordered the wagon pillow…now I don’t know why I didn’t! I love the idea of a vintage-y Christmas. That is pretty much our Christmas decor…simple with a little rust and bling. The paper barn is also super cute! ‘Tis the season, xo

    1. Thanks, Jane! Isn’t that the cutest? I’ve loved seeing your vintage-y goodness on your page & blog, it’s amazing! Our decor is glitz-n-rustic, I have a blingy tree and vignettes of rustic, I love both and can’t decide..lol Happy Holidays! xo

I enjoyed it a little too much I think haha..and thank you, I love those, too, they’re so cute! As a child, Grandma was one of the first people to ever stand up for me, I’m sure I’ll tell the stories at some point. Happy Holidays my friend! xo
